From 1 June 2009, design students will be invited to take part in the eighth annual L'Argus European Design Competition, which this year takes as its theme 'Less is More: Traveling in the Era of Simplicity'. Questioning students on the concepts of mobility and the future of automobile design, this contest - organized by French magazine L'Argus de L'Automobile - will run until 11 December 2009 and culminate in an awards ceremony on 20 January 2010. The competition is open to students attending design colleges within the European Union and Switzerland, including non-automotive courses covering disciplines such as industrial design, fine arts and architecture.
Kia has revealed the 2010 Sportage at Geneva
As with many of the reveals we’re getting at Geneva, we’ve already told you to expect the car in previous reports. We reported a month ago that Kia’s version of the Hyundai ix35 – the Kia Sportage – would bow in at Geneva, but we had precious little detail beyond a couple of photos. Well, Kia have made up for that with one of the longest press releases in a while on the new Sportage.
Singapore Grand Prix (2013) RESULT
Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel has won the last two races, in Belgium and Italy, to extend his lead in the drivers’ championship, and he started today’s Singapore Grand Prix in pole position. And, just for a few seconds at the start of the race, it looked like Nico Rosberg in the Mercedes had got his fellow German’s measure as he swept past the Red Bull in the opening few yards. But it was a short-lived lead as Rosberg went too deep going in to the first corner and Vettel swept by to re-take the lead, and kept it to the end in an imperious display of driving in what is now starting to look like an unbeatable Red Bull.
